Gerhard Bode-Labusch

has studied the art of building guitars at Norman Reed in Totnes/Devon and opened his own workshop in 1996. Since the beginning of his work he placed special importance on the way of building the instrument by developing the full potential of the woods he works with.

Therefore a comprehensive dialogue with the person that should play the instrument and a careful exploration of the personality of the woods to be used as well as the kind of instrument required is part of the initial planning.

The selection of the materials and a respectful design is the key to create real personalised instruments.
